The restaurant

At the Auberge de Tavel, gastronomy is the queen ! The former classroom was transformed into a dining room for the pleasure of the guests. Stones of Tavel, beams and fireplace make a friendly place to have lunch or dinner.
In summer, the gourmets will be happy to eat in the shaded terrace with the view over the garden. Seasonal produce, local flavours, meats, fishes and a selection of gourmet desserts compose our colored and delicious menu for the pleasure of the tastebuds.

To follow the rhythm of seasonal produce, the Auberge de Tavel concocts a new carte very often. Authentic and traditional cooking punctuated by Provençal flavors, expertise, waiters, gives him the title of master restaurateur and guarantees a hearty meal and an efficient service.

In the heart of a wine-producing region, gourmets will appreciate the wine cellar of the restaurant. The Auberge de Tavel proposes a selection of wines coming from the famous vineyard of Tavel and from the excellent white and red vineyards to accompany all the meals.

The wine cellar - The wine

What better place than the Auberge de Tavel to discover the vineyards of Tavel and its wines?

Tavel, whose vineyard is rich in history, is also the only cru to be proposed in rosé. Whether it comes from different soils such as "Les Lauzes", "Rolled pebbles" or "Les Sables", each producer gets a Tavel very different depending on the assemblages he will create.

You will find on our map, among others, wines from the Domaine de la Mordorée which is no longer to be presented or from the Domaine Lafond, with a very balanced wine, organic, whose owner was once a student at school in our establishment. Other Tavel will be more atypical such as Domaine Trinquevedel with its Autrement Tavel, or even the Domaine de l'Anglore by Eric Pfifferling, a natural wine whose harvest is manual, and bottling without suffering. We also offer various wines from the Domaine Maby, emblematic family of the village of tavel vignerons from father to son. We also have the wines from the cellar of Tavel winemakers, the only cooperative winery classified as historical monuments that offers high quality local wines.

Thierry selects the wines carefully to make excellent rosé, white or red wines to accompany all meals. He will make you discover them with passion and guide you according to your menu and your desires.

For the organization of your business meals, meetings, family meals, birthdays, wedding anniversary, baptism, wedding, the Auberge de Tavel offers all the services for the most important events of your life. In the restaurant or in aprivate room, groups until 60 persons will benefit from the services adapted to your budget and wishes.   • Our restaurant is open from 12.15 to 2.00 pm and from 7.30 to 9.00 pm
  • Restaurant is closed on wenesday for lunch and dinner and on Thursday for lunch from April to October
  • Service on the terrace, weather permitting, or in our stone restaurant room with fireplace
